Red Letter Days for LANDFLIP in 2011
With the New Year fast approaching, we at LANDFLIP wanted to take some time to reflect on a fantastic year. We know that 2011 has not been kind to everyone, the unemployment rate is still high and the real estate industry is making a slow recovery, but LANDFLIP is grateful for a year of growth and improvement.
In September 2011 land professionals from all over the U.S. reconvened in Atlanta for the second annual LANDTHINK Summit, hosted and produced by LANDTHINK.com. Participation and sponsorship was strong, as the Summit once again brought together industry experts, investors, and many others who own, sell, and invest in land. A top-notch lineup of expert speakers engaged the crowd with informative sessions on various topics affecting the land the land industry. LANDTHINK Summit 2011 was an event filled with relevant education and professional networking that exceeded our expectations. Thanks again to all of our sponsors, speakers, advisors, contributors, and guests for making this one-of-a-kind land event a huge success!
LANDFLIP launched two new complementary websites in 2011, first LOTFLIP.com and just last month, FARMFLIP.com. LOTFLIP is a specialized website devoted to land for sale under 20 acres. It’s streamlined and user-friendly, designed to provide buyers and sellers with an easier way to search for smaller parcels of land and residential homesites. LOTFLIP also features lot auctions, lots for lease, and foreclosed lots. The latest addition, FARMFLIP, is devoted to farm land for sale including agricultural land, timberland, pastureland, CRP and other income producing farm land. This year saw record-breaking farm land prices with demand that’s holding steady, and LANDFLIP recognized the need for an interface that would allow potential buyers to quickly and easily search for farms for sale by location, type or price. Both LOTFLIP and FARMFLIP allow land owners and broker’s the opportunity to showcase their listings by purchasing one initial LANDFLIP account at an affordable price.
The explosive popularity of all our Social Media platforms was a high point for LANDFLIP in 2011. Land agents and brokers have the opportunity to connect with LANDFLIP, LANDTHINK, LOTFLIP and FARMFLIP as well as with buyers, sellers, and peers within the land industry. We’ve added new Facebook pages and Twitter pages, and our LinkedIn groups give professionals from all different sectors of the industry a place to join in discussions, network and grow their connections. Additionally, our LANDTHINK Community offers a forum to share ideas, create discussion topics, post replies, give reputation to fellow members and meet new people.
None of our successes this year would have been possible without the support of our loyal advertisers, sponsors, advisors, contributors, and the land buyers and sellers that see the benefits of being associated with LANDFLIP and our expanding network of sites. It’s our goal to keep devising ways to help promote and further the growth of the land industry. We have big plans and surprises still to come in 2012- stay tuned!
As we prepare to herald in 2012, the LANDFLIP team would like to wish you all the very best of the holiday season and blessings throughout the New Year!
